Our Day ON: 1/18/2010

A Day ON, Not a Day OFF.

This year in honour of Dr. King and in celebration of the national day of service, MLK Day, Hands On Savannah joined, followed, and facilitated projects across the Savannah area.   We joined the Economic Opportunity Authority and over 150 volunteers sprucing and painting the homes of 3 senior citizens in Tremont Park.  We stopped in to follow the great work being done once again by nearly 60 GA Power employees as they worked on Senior Citizens Inc, AWWIN Inc, and Habitat for Humanity-Effingham County. Finally, we facilitated a personal development seminar “Celebrating the Human Spirit” with Ariane Philipp.

Thank you to each and every one of you who made it out for this phenomenal day (and week) of service.  Check the photos below to see all of the good work that wouldn’t have been possible without your contribution!
